Pharmacy Tech II Full Time Days Position Summary
SHIFT: 8pm-6am. 7 days on 7 day of rests schedule
The person in this position will help in preparing, product packaging, providing, and charging of medications, under the guidance of a certified pharmacist.
Position tasks consist of the following activities:
- fill and label medications
- stock medications into drug store stock
- restock automated giving cabinets (ADCs)
- preserve sufficient medication stock levels and appropriate storage of medications
- provide medications to client care locations
- take care of medication demands and telephone call
- help in Pharmacy quality control activities
- adhere to state and federal regulative requirements, Joint Commission requirements and Tenet and medical facility policies and treatments
- help pharmacists in carrying out numerous responsibilities as designated.
Qualifications
THE PHARMACY TECH II FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or comparable GED
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of healthcare facility drug store experience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Previous health center drug store experience chosen. IV experience chosen. Great organizational abilities, spoken and written interaction abilities, and standard computer system abilities chosen.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Licensed in the State of Arizona as a Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Technician accreditation.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to operate in a hectic environment with periodic durations of above typical pressure. Should have standard computer system abilities. Outstanding customer support abilities. Should want to operate in all locations of the drug store services as appointed. Efficient social abilities and capability to deal with staff member needed. Need to have the ability to operate in a busy environment with periodic durations of above typical pressure.
