Minimum Qualifications
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is needed. Effective conclusion of an authorized Pharmacy Technician training course is chosen. Effective conclusion of Pharmacy Service Line proficiencies within 6 months of hire
Experience: Previous drug store work experience is chosen.
Licensure, accreditation, and/or registration: Registration with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals needed. Drug Store Technician Certification Board (PTCB) accreditation is needed within 9 months of hire.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Must have the ability to keep familiarity with a great deal (1000-2000) of medications and concentrated on attention to detail/accuracy. Need to be customer support oriented. Needs understanding and usage of basic workplace devices and treatments, consisting of computer/keyboard. Should have the ability to resolve basic mathematical and logistical issues in the workplace. Need to have the ability to successfully budget plan time, work effectively and properly, and follow treatments with minimum guidance. All Technicians should finish Orientation Competencies.
