Job Summary

Under the basic guidance of the Systems Director of Pharmacy and direct guidance of a signed up Pharmacist, carries out a range of tasks vital to the buying, preparation, circulation and charging of prescriptions. Need to have the ability to carry out functions associated with prescription analysis, order entry, dispensation, labeling, billing and stock. Should have the ability to carry out money and charge deals. Need to be signed up as a drug store professional with the KY Board of Pharmacy prior to employ date. Non licensed drug store specialists are employed with the expectation they attain accreditation (CPHT) credential within 6 months of hire and be transferred to the qualified professional task description. Working Conditions, Hazards and Physical Effort

Schedule consists of different shifts per project 7 days/week. Need to listen to information. Tension from due dates rigorous policies, and multi-tasking. Extended standing or comprehensive walking. Routine lifting of supplies/equipment approximately 25 pounds. Includes the handling, preparation, and disposal of dangerous medications that might present reproductive dangers to those of kid bearing age. The jobs of this task do not include direct exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, however work might need carrying out extra jobs that include direct exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Minimum Qualifications or Equivalents

Education: High School graduate or equivalent are needed. Conclusion of Pharmacy Tech training or Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in suitable Health Science Program is chosen.

Experience: One (1) year drug store service technician experience or a comparable mix of education and experience from which equivalent understanding and capabilities can be obtained is chosen. Fundamental algebra abilities needed to carry out pharmaceutical computations.

EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Typing abilities and computer system experience needed.

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations

KY Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration needed. Drug Store Technician Certification (CPHT) is needed within 6 months of hire.
