To offer technical assistance in the different elements, functions, and obligations of The Department of Pharmacy.
Effectively performs all proficiencies regularly particular to appointed location/ place.
Successfully finishes a minimum of 20 hours of Continuing Education every 2 years.
Assists in the training, orientation and evaluation of New Employees, Interns, Externs and Students.
Participate in Supply Cost Reduction Initiative:
Submit a minimum of one report each year associated to your Supply Cost Reduction concept. Collect, arrange, and examine information associated with your Supply Cost Reduction concept. Prepare and provide a report to Pharmacy Leadership each year.
Participates in a Quality Improvement Initiative:
Submit a minimum of one report yearly associated to your Quality Improvement concept. Collect, arrange, and evaluate information connected to your QI concept. Prepare and provide a report to Pharmacy Leadership every year.
Plays a considerable function in the department’s preparedness for The Joint Commission.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
MUST COMPLETE ALL REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS AND BE IN ACTIVE STATUS WITH THE STATE OF GEORGIA PHARMACY BOARD PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT
Associate’s Degree in Arts, Sciences, Business, Education, Engineering, Nursing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Informatics or the comparable REQUIRED. Comparable being specified as 60 term hours or 95 quarter hours from a legitimate post-secondary education program.
Pharmacy Technician Certification by the Georgia Board of Pharmacy REQUIRED.
Preference will be provided to candidates with healthcare experience and especially to candidates with health center drug store experience.
The Pharmacy professional will be needed to finish a 6 week training program and pass the last test with a rating of 80% or much better. At this time Pharmacy professionals need to have the ability to show performance in typing, preparation of aseptic services and need to know inpatient and outpatient drug circulation systems and have the ability to work mathematical estimations precisely.
Must show the understanding and abilities required to offer drug store services suitable to the age of the client’s served.
Must have the ability to show understanding of the concepts of development and advancement over the life expectancy.
Must have the ability to evaluate and translate information about the client’s status in order to recognize each client’s age particular requirements and supply the care required by our client groups (i.e., neonate, pediatric, teen and/or geriatric).
Possesses an existing and legitimate accreditation from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. Tech III status relies on yearly accreditation and evidence of recognition from the Board.
