Task Summary:
Helps pharmacists in filling and preparation of inpatient medication orders and outpatient prescriptions. Provides medication to client care locations, and posts charges/credits for medication. Orders items from drug store wholesaler if designated by Drug store Supervisor. Assists with training of brand-new specialists as appointed by Drug store Supervisor
Principal Tasks and Obligations:

1. System dosage cart fills/checks, AcuDose restock, system dosage prepackaging, and Robotic product packaging are finished precisely.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Needed:

A. High School diploma or comparable chosen.
B. Should be well-informed of medications (dose kinds, brand name and generic names).
C. 6 months drug store specialist experience is needed.
D. Required Kentucky Board of Drug store registration certificate for Drug store Professional or Drug Store Intern. (Within 30 days of hire date if you are a brand-new registrant. If formerly registered you need to have registration upon hire)
E. Required accreditation with the Drug store Specialist Accreditation Board (PTCB) or the Institute for the Accreditation of Drug Store Technicians (ICPT). (Within 180 days of hire date) unless accredited as a Drug store Intern
