DRUG STORE TECH I INTERN - DRUG STORE

This is an entry level Drug store Service technician or Drug store Intern position. Obligations consist of supplying service to clients concerning the drug store, addressing telephones, putting together flooring stock medications, filling up Pyxis makers, transport of medications to and from nursing floorings and departments, pre-packing and labeling medications under the direct guidance of a pharmacist. Projects a picture of professionalism in interaction, look and conduct. Preserves a working understanding of department standard procedure. Carries out other responsibilities as appointed.

Education, Training and Experience

Needed: High school diploma or equivalency. Should have a legitimate Service technician Accreditation or Intern Pharmacist License from the State of California.

Preferred: A working ability in basic mathematics and familiarity with drug classification and/or medical terms. Shows reliable interaction, social abilities, organizational capability, understanding of correct body mechanics, precaution and infection control, capability to follow directions, understanding of area particular test details and instrumentation might be needed.

Abilities or Other Credentials

Needed: Shown proficiency to work as a Tech I

Preferred: Previous experience from a development healthcare facility drug store

License and Accreditations

Needed: California Board of Drug Store Service Technician License

Preferred: PTCB chosen.
