Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
Pharmacy Technicians/Trainees, under the guidance of a certified pharmacist, help in the numerous activities of the drug store department. Drug store technicians/trainees help the pharmacist in preparing and dispersing medications, preserving the drug stock and upkeep of records. Drug store Technicians/trainees operate in accordance with basic composed treatments, standards and state and federal policies. They do not carry out tasks that can lawfully be carried out just by a signed up pharmacist.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. 2 years health center chosen
2. Well-informed of and adhere to laws, guidelines and policies that govern the practice of drug store
3. Capability to set concerns, fulfills due dates, resolves issues, adapts to modifications within the workplace
4. An ability for dealing with other healthcare specialists
5. Able to take a trip
6. Should show dedication and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and treatments, the Code of Conduct, participation at needed training and instantly reporting believed compliance problem( s) to the Compliance Officer.
EDUCATION/ LICENSURE:
1. High School Graduate/ GED
2. Present Texas State Pharmacy Technician Registration
3. Partner’s Degree chosen
4. ASHP IV accreditation needed or 1 year IV experience, highly chosen. Conclusion of an ACPE/ASHP certified program within 180 days of hire if not currently accredited.
