POSITION DETAILS:
Schedule: Rotating, 8 hour shifts
FTE: 80 hours per 2 week pay duration
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician helps the Pharmacist by carrying out specific technical functions related to drug circulation in accordance with particular arrangements, requirements, and Pharmacy Business and Professions Code. Reliant upon task, the primary locations of drug circulation might consist of system dosage, intravenous and oral drug compounding, TPN preparation, stock control, automated giving devices and associated tasks, as needed. Client service, team effort and interaction are essential task functions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma, GED or foreign equivalent
One year of experience
Registered CA Pharmacy Technician
Knowledge of medical and drug store terms, metric and apothecary procedures
Knowledge of drug store principles, laws, and responsibility and control of prescriptions and regulated drugs
Didactic and useful IV intensifying experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in a pediatric healthcare facility setting
Three years of experience
Experience with automated giving makers and barcode innovation.
