The person in this position will help in preparing, product packaging, providing, and charging of medications, under the direct guidance of a certified pharmacist.

Duties

Position responsibilities consist of the following activities:

  • Fill and identify medications.
  • Stock medications into drug store stock.
  • Restock automated giving cabinets (ADCs).
  • Maintain appropriate medication stock levels and appropriate storage of medications.
  • Provide medications to client care locations.
  • Take care of medication demands and call.
  • Help in Drug store quality control activities.
  • Adhere to state and federal regulative requirements, Joint Commission requirements and Tenet and health center policies and treatments.
  • Help pharmacists in carrying out different responsibilities as appointed.

Certifications

Education

Needed: High School Graduate or comparable

Experience

Preferred: Healthcare Facility Experience

Accreditations

Needed: Registered Drug store Specialist license. Drug store Specialist accreditation (both based upon state requirements)
