Location: St. Vincent’s East (Trussville)

Schedule: 7on/7off; 11: 30am-10: 00pm

  • Three years experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting.
  • Current active technician registration with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician highly preferred.

What You Will Do

Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist.

  • Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
  • Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department.
  • Repackage bulk medications.
  • Receive and store incoming supplies.
  • Serve as liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professional by providing information as necessary.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Alabama Board of Pharmacy obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate’s degree, or Technical degree required.

Additional Preferences

  • Three years experience in a hospital or comparative IV pharmacy setting, or current active IV Certification required.
  • Current active technician registration with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy required.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
