Position Description:
The Lead Pharmacy Tech will be responsible for assisting the pharmacy department with a variety of vital functions including maintaining the Robot system, performing quality improvement data collection/evaluation of clean room, and basic scheduling and oversight of Pharmacy Technicians. This position provides organizational and technical support to Pharmacy Technicians to ensure proper preparation of pharmaceuticals and compliance with established protocol and guidelines for pharmacy operations.
Position Requirements:
- Three years pharmacy experience in hospital setting.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CphT) Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Must have active Georgia Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician. Pharmacy Students have a pharmacy intern license and are therefore exempt from certification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Proficiency in all five practice areas with minimum supervision.
