Position Summary …

What you’ll do …

Provides patient/member service in the Pharmacy location by acknowledging the member; determining member requirements; starting the prescription satisfaction procedure at the drug store drop-off window; developing prescription orders; promoting product or services; fixing member concerns and issues; helping with purchase decesions; finding nonprescription product; and keeping a safe shopping environment.

Enters prescription information into drug store software application by checking out the prescription; equating prescription details into matching system codes; transcribing suitable prescription information (for instance, composed date, drug name, strength, instructions for usage (sig), refills, name of recommending doctor, and prescriber DEA number); and developing or customizing patient/member records.

Fills prescriptions by obtaining prescription orders; counting, putting, determining or weighing medication tablets, liquids, and creams; blending or reconstituting medications as required; picking, filling, and labeling prescription containers; and running scanning devices and/or automated giving systems to make sure prescription precision.

Provides member support throughout prescription pick-up by validating and going into client info, according to business policies and treatments, into the TaSCO system; marking suitable prescriptions for pick-up; obtaining prescription bag from will call bin; scanning security tags; event electronic signatures for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) recommendation and 3rd party payor, if relevant; and utilizing TaSCO to log the sale of limited pharmaceutical products. Minimum Qualifications …
