Provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist.
Reports to: Director of Pharmacy
FLSA: Non-exempt
Performs other duties as assigned.Must work effectively as a team-member.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Education? High school diploma or equivalent ? Preferred X Required
? Other – Pharm Tech License within 60 days of hire X Preferred ? Required
Required SkillsCertifications:? Basic Life Support (BLS) ? Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) ? Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) ? Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) ? Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) ?Other ?Other
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
Fills medication carts on a daily basis.
Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
Repackages bulk medications.
Must complete all education assigned and required for the position including classroom and on-line courses.
