Summary

The individual in this position will help in preparing, product packaging, delivering, and charging of medications, under the direct guidance of a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities

Position duties consist of the following activities:

  • Fill and label medications.
  • Stock medications into drug store inventory.
  • Restock automated giving cabinets (ADCs).
  • Maintain sufficient medication stock levels and proper storage of medications.
  • Deliver medications to client care locations.
  • Take care of medication demands and call.
  • Help in Drug store quality assurance activities.
  • Adhere to state and federal regulative requirements, Joint Commission requirements and Tenet and hospital policies and treatments.
  • Assist pharmacists in carrying out various tasks as appointed.

Certifications

Education

Needed: High School Graduate or equivalent

Experience

Preferred: Medical Facility Experience

Accreditations

Required: Registered Pharmacy Technician license. Pharmacy Specialist certification (both based on state requirements)
