Certifications
- Education: Associates Degree chosen.
- Experience: Severe: Minimum of two drug store skills (examples might consist of medication distribution, sterile intensifying, and/or medication listing activities) required. OR … worked with as a Pharmacy Specialist 1 Qualified and now competently carrying out a second pharmacy skill as explained above needed. Outpatient Oncology: Minimum of two years of experience in any setting with one year of experience in sterile intensifying (of IV and/or chemotherapy admixture) needed. Specialty Pharmacy: Minimum of two years in any setting needed with one year in specialized setting chosen.
- Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: Present computer registry with applicable State Board( s) of Drug store required. PTCB or NHA Accreditation within 60 days of hire, or evidence of registration in drug store school/FPEGG/FPGEC required. A minimum of one specialized certificate/certification from PTCB, ASHP or NBMTM (examples include however are not restricted to product confirmation, medication history, hazardous drug management, billing/reimbursement, illegal drugs diversion prevention, medication treatment management, sterile compounding) needed.
- Extra Skills/Requirements needed: State Registration and/or proof of renewal is required for both Pharmacists and Technicians fifteen days prior to expiration and Technicians are needed to be either licensed through Pharmacy Technician Accreditation Board (PTCB) or National Health profession Association (NHA), or be actively enrolled in pharmacy school, or be active in Foreign Drug store Graduate Equivalency Evaluation (FPGEE) or Foreign Pharmacy Equivalency Certification (FPGEC). Considerable knowledge and application of standard math abilities, consisting of ratio and proportion relationships; strong verbal and written communication abilities, capability to follow spoken and written directions. Basic innovation skills. Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and treatments. Capability to drive/travel to numerous facilities/locations as needed. Ability to work as part of a high performing, alter prepared and resilient team.
- Extra Skills/Requirements chosen: Considerable knowledge of medication names (both trade and generic) and their doses, paths of administration, and negative effects; the ability to demonstrate patient interview abilities and strong composed and spoken communication skills with other healthcare specialists. Experience with stock management.
