The Drug Store Service technician 2 PRN assists in the technical elements of the distribution of medications and associated functions, with the capability to carry out jobs independently and to keep a specialized area of duty while aiding in the delivery of pharmaceutical care.

VITAL FUNCTIONS
Goes into medication orders from physicians’ order sheets/prescriptions and fills according to label, making sure that the correct product is dispensed which the dose form and charge amount are in accordance with formulary; gets in appropriate billing data as required. Knowledge of procedures and requirements for the labeling and dispensing of prescription medications.
Must have the ability to check out, compose and follow guidelines and flowchart procedures.
Ability to sort, check, count, and validate numbers.
Capability to follow established safety, infection control, environmental and seclusion practices and treatments at all times.
Social abilities required to communicate efficiently with clients and personnel.
