So excited to finally give you guys a glimpse of what it’s like being a #pharmacyintern and #pharmacytechnician that works in retail.
I worked as a retail pharmacy tech for 3 years and now I am a first year intern. Interns do a combination of tech work and pharmacist work… under the pharmacist’s supervision. In addition to what was shown: interns can take new orders from doctors/ physicians over the phone, receive/send transfers from other pharmacies, and counsel patients. I however did not show that process because of HIPAA. I also did not show myself taking phone calls from patients or checking them out at the counter because of HIPAA.
Question: How many pills of Keppra were put into the patient’s vial? If you had to guess, what is the day supply and how often will patient take the med?
