Accountability:
- PRESCRIPTIONS – Enter and fill prescriptions from bulk unit dosage stock; fill bottles, pills and other bundle kinds with determined quantities of medication according to prescription and under the supervision of a pharmacist
- PRESCRIPTIONS – Type prescription information to consist of recognition and medication use; put together labels, containers and medication for pharmacist approval
- PRESCRIPTIONS – Weigh, procedure and mix components; substance and prepare medication, emulsions, suspensions, liquids, powders and lotions by using graduates, balance, mortar, pestle and funnels

- SOLUTIONS – Mix additives for IV and irrigation solutions for pharmacist inspection
- SUPPLY – Restock medication supply and crash carts for nursing systems and centers
- MANAGED COMPOUNDS – Count, plan and provide controlled substances under the guidance of a pharmacist; maintain narcotic stock; order narcotics under the guidance of the charge pharmacist
- CLIENT SAFETY 1 – Follow client safety-related policies, treatments and procedures
- PATIENT SECURITY 2 – Demonstrate proactive method to client safety by looking for opportunities to enhance client safety through questioning of existing policies and processes
- CLIENT SECURITY 3 – Identify and report/correct ecological conditions and/or situations that may put a patient at excessive danger
- CLIENT SECURITY 4 – Report potential or actual client security concerns, medical errors and/or near misses in a timely way
- CLIENT SAFETY 5 – Motivate patients to actively take part in their own care by asking concerns and reporting treatment or situations that they do not understand or may “not seem best”
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate from an accredited Drug store Tech program
Experience Requirements:
- 1/2 year (6 months) directly associated experience
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Certified Drug Store Service Technician in State of New Mexico or acquire within 60 days of date of position
Experience Requirements – Preferred:
- Multilingual English/Spanish
- Multilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
Physical Demands Requirements:
- Heavy Work: Putting In 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force continuously to move things or people. Physical Need requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
Evaluating Requirements:
- Tuberculin Skin Test needed every year
Working Conditions Requirements:
