Duties

Position Summary:

The Drug Store Professional Expert is responsible for gathering information from medical records and other sources as needed to process medication refill demands while adhering to the departments protocol policies.

Qualifications

Minimum Certifications:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Needed knowledge:
  • Familiar with electronic techniques of interactions (e.g. e-mails, computer system messaging, pagers, etc)
  • Understanding of e-prescribing abilities and restrictions
  • Knowledge of center and department policies and treatments
  • Knowledgeable About Dignity Health Medical Structure centers, names and areas
  • Other Requirements:
  • Need to be able to adapt easily to alter
  • Should be able to operate in a group environment that might change or change based on the activity or time frame
  • Ability to promote a good example of exceptional customer service

Preferred Credentials:

  • 2 (2) years experience in retail drug store, medical/ insurance environment chosen
  • Knowledge of generic and trade drug names and pharmacy terminology preferred
