Purpose:

Performs a range of clerical, distributive, technical and information event responsibilities in order to supply medications to clients and support the pharmacists

Accountabilities:

Develops skills in giving and shipment of medications. This consists of establishing proficiency in the department’s usage of details systems, innovation, and automation utilized for giving and storage of medications.

Develops proficiency in preparing non ~ sterilized items following USP, state, and federal suggestions, as needed.

Develops skills in going into medication orders in the computer system and/or processing medication demands by means of the computer system.

Position Requirements:

Level of Education: High School Graduate Good mathematics abilities

Attention to information

Good interaction (composed and spoken) and social abilities

Basic computer system abilities

Ability to mean extended periods of time

Ability to stroll, raise, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the work day

Ability to raise to 35 pounds from flooring to chest level lift and bring as much as 35 pounds at waist height an affordable range push/pull with 30 pounds of force

Licensure (IL just): Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Student Certification (CPhT) provided by PTCB or ExCPT within 2 years of hire, or quicker if needed by law. Need to sit for the accreditation examination a minimum of one time within the very first year of work.
