Overview
The Inpatient Certified Pharmacy Technician offers everyday encouraging services for the Department of Pharmacy according to healthcare facility policies and treatments and in compliance with Kentucky drug store laws and other regulative firms. The professional actively supports and takes part in the department’s constant quality enhancement efforts and proficiency evaluations and shows a dedication to customer support and client security. The specialist reacts to demands in a timely and effective way.
Responsibilities
Provides everyday encouraging services for the Department of Pharmacy according to healthcare facility policies and treatments and in compliance with Kentucky drug store laws and other regulative firms.
Essential Functions:
Distributes medications, consisting of illegal drugs, to a protected location for storage or administration, restocks automated giving cabinets (ADC), substances sterilized and non-sterile items, interacts with health center personnel, finishes assessments, and reports risky practices to management.
Qualifications
License & Certification: Registered as a drug store professional with the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Current Board accreditation by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or National Healthcare Association; accreditation not needed for 2nd year trainees and/or certified drug store interns.
Education: High School diploma or GED needed. Conclusion of an official Pharmacy Technician curriculum and/or an Associate’s degree, or previous hospital-based drug store specialist experience chosen
Experience: One year of drug store specialist experience chosen.
