We are immediately hiring Pharmacy Technician II to join our experienced Pharmacy team. Our Pharmacy Tech II is responsible for assisting the Pharmacist in the operations related to Compounding intravenous admixtures for patients. This includes managing IV room and compounding equipment and controlled environments.

Responsibilities

Expectations

  • Shall possess the personal characteristics necessary for successfully fulfilling his/her responsibilities. These characteristics include good communication skills, initiative, and attention to detail, flexibility, and cooperation.
  • Preparing IV admixtures using aseptic technique, following USP797/800 requirements, using LAWs or CAIs
  • Managing expired IV medications, returns and credits
  • Monitoring and documentation of environmental conditions
  • Must have training in: applicable EHR, pharmacy automation, sterile compounding, and computer applications including Microsoft Word

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Licensed Pharmacy Tech through the Board of Pharmacy in Arkansas
  • Pharmacy experience required (pharmacy interns exempt). Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Completion of IV Admixture Training Program, with successful completion of quality controls such as media fill, fingertip testing, etc.
