Task Description:

Phar Tech I

Under guidance of a pharmacist, fills unit dosage orders and maintains records of client’s use along with more complex tasks as supplied by certification.

Full-Time Position (80 Hours Per Pay Duration)

Shift: Day Days: Differed

POSITION SUMMARY

Under guidance of a pharmacist, fills system dosage orders and keeps records of patient’s usage as well as more complex responsibilities as offered by certification.

SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

  • Demonstrates the ability to utilize a computer and different software application applicable to the position
  • Demonstrates the ability to run applicable workplace equipment
  • Shows the ability to deal successfully interdepartmentally & with the public
  • Exhibits the capability to keep confidentiality, believe and act individually with minimal supervision
  • Keeps routine, constant and punctual presence at the assigned job place

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/ DEGREES

  • Legitimate Oregon Pharmacy Professional License (High School Diploma or Equivalent needed for license)
  • American Heart Association Doctor Basic Life Support (BLS) or need to be gotten by the last day of the month after the 60- day grace duration
  • Present pharmacy professionals– Certification from Institute for the Certification of Drug Store Technicians National Technician (ICPT), Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Pharmacy Service Technician Accreditation (ExCPT) chosen
  • Conclusion of medical terminology course or experience in related medical position chosen EXPERIENCE (Important task requirements listed in strong)
  • Working understanding of but not restricted to: label maker, unit-dose product packaging machine, heat-sealer for single unit dose product packaging, cassette drawers, automated dispensing system and vertical/horizontal intravenous hoods.
