The Drug store Service technician 3 leads in the technical elements of the distribution of medications and related functions, with the capability to perform tasks independently and to keep a customized location of duty while aiding in the shipment of pharmaceutical care.
VITAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
VITAL FUNCTIONS
Carries out the tasks of a lead pharmacy professional; proficiency of all pharmacy technicain tasks and cross training brand-new hires.
Preserves a customized area of obligation while assisting in the delivery of care in locations such as Acquiring, Receiving, Auditing, Sterile and nonsterile compounding, Billing, Informatics, Medication Reconciliation, Licensing, Contracting, and Marketing.
Supports BSWQA medical pharmacists by performing medication reconciliation and formulary research for pharmacists. Also supports BSWQA Comprehensive Care Management Team (CCM team- Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Community Health Workers, and Healthcare Coordinators) by fielding medication questions, escalating all medical concerns to the pharmacists, participating in CCM huddles and offering medication education subjects for discussion by pharmacists or homeowners.
Performs advanced inventory management (i.e. ADM optimization, ADM build and reconstruct).
Participates in education for drug store residents/students.
Finishes prior authorizations (PA) for HTPN clinics (e.g. Hepatitis C medications, rifaximin, and PSCK9 inhibitors).
Finishes renewal PAs for Specialized Pharmacy Fulfillment Service (SPFS) centers, advantages verifications, getting monetary help through manufacturer coupons, structures and patient help programs, and medication adherence calls.
Assists in coordination and advancement of medication related focus procedure outreach workflows and acts as contracted payers’ contact person with respect to focus procedures. Reports outreach results back to payers and department leaders.
Improves performance on Medication Adherence Measures through client engagement and education.
Collaborates the Drug Remember Process. Assists with unique projects (workflows, training, occasions).
Filters/distributes at-risk lists from payers to proper celebrations
SECRET SUCCESS ELEMENTS
Specialist understanding of Pharmacy Care methods, terminology, pharmaceutical computations, substance abuse and aseptic techniques, standards, and equipment.
Knowledge of procedures and standards for the labeling and dispensing of prescription medications.
Needs to be able to read, compose and follow instructions and flow chart protocols.
Capability to sort, check, count, and validate numbers.
Capability to follow established safety, infection control, ecological and isolation practices and procedures at all times.
Social skills required to interact efficiently with patients and staff.
General computer abilities, including but not limited to: utilizing needed software application applications, information entry, info security, electronic medical documentation, hand held scanning and email

QUALIFICATIONS
– EDUCATION – H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
– EXPERIENCE – 3 Years of Experience
– CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION –
& nbspPharmacy Specialist (PHT): Must have a Drug store Tech license through TX Board of Drug Store.
Must likewise Keep PTCB/NHA certification OR have associated skillset.
& nbspDrivers License (TXDL): TX DL in 60 days of hire or transfer.
