NECESSARY FUNCTIONS OF THE FUNCTION
Carries out restricted drug store services and tasks related to the equipping, preparation, labeling, giving and shipment of medications.
Assists clients and medical personnel with nonjudgmental concerns under the direct guidance of a pharmacist preceptor.
Responses inbound telephone call and reacts to the requirements of the caller and/or directs them to the proper individual for service.
Interacts quickly with all suitable staff member when stock levels are low and helps with drug getting and stock control in a proper way (ex. purchasing and getting of medications and materials).
Carries out designated jobs relating to drug store quality assurance, management of drug store records, stock control and preparation of order for drugs.
Goes into medication orders from medical professionals’ order sheets/prescriptions and fills according to label, guaranteeing that the proper item is given which the dose type and charge amount remain in accordance with formulary; gets in proper billing information and is accountable for medication charges and credits.
Solves disparities, troubleshoots and runs reports from the automated giving maker (ADM)
