Responsibilities
- Responsible for regular monthly medical records QA and Optum/Alere Prescription QA with an understanding of USP 797 standards for a high-risk drug store and state law as directed by manager.
- Works under direct guidance of a Registered Pharmacist, fills Optum/Alere prescriptions and as required gives Optum/Alere medications according to requirements of quality, client service, efficiency standards and State Board of Pharmacy policies.
- Responsible for customer care with Optum/Alere nurses when getting in and giving orders for Optum/Alere, high-risk pregnant ladies.
- Responsible for Optum/Alere information entry and to help pharmacist with calling Optum/Alere nurses/centers for refill orders.
- Input everyday orders (brand-new and refills).
- Resolves repayment problems as produced by the SCS Computer system and follows up with management and IT as required.
- Responsible for filing, responding to phones, and equipping locations in the Optum/Alere order entry space as proper and as directed by manager.
- Ability to analyze Optum/Alere Prescription Plan of Treatment Orders (PPOT) into the digital medical order system.
- Knowledge of Optum/Alere high threat pregnancy medications.
- Audits the input versus paperwork and makes corrections as needed.
- Responsible for comprehending how Optum/Alere bundles are delivered and tracked through over night 3rd celebration logistics business.
- Performs other jobs as appointed.
Qualifications
- Education/Learning Experience
Required: High School Diploma or comparable.
Desired: Formal training as a Pharmacy IV Technician.
- Work Experience
Required: 6 months – 1 year of IV drug store professional experience.
Desired: 1 – 2 years of IV drug store specialist experience.
- Skills/Knowledge
Required: Excellent oral and written interaction abilities.
Desired: Computer abilities for PC and AS400 Main frame.
- Licenses/Certifications
Required: As needed by state policies.
Desired: PTCB.
