Overview

Under the direct guidance of the pharmacist( s) on task, carries out technical and manipulative jobs needed to get, procedure, cost and fill prescriptions to ambulatory clients and workers. Carries out everyday and month-to-month computer system upkeep creating all essential reports as needed. Assists in billing all outdoors firms, third-party insurance companies, and State programs. S/he orients, coaches and works as a resource for personnel and other specialists. S/he establishes favorable relationships in pleasing the requirements of internal and external consumers. S/he preserves existing understanding of 3rd party submission and shows precision in 3rd party billing. Shows proficiency to offer elements of pharmaceutical look after neonatal (birth-discharge), pediatric (birth-11 years), teen (12-18), adult (19-65), and geriatric (66- over) clients.

Qualifications

Education & Training: High School diploma or GED needed.

Experience: Previous retail or health center experience chosen

License & Certification: Registered as a drug store specialist with the State Board of Pharmacy Examiners needed. PTCB nationwide accreditation needed. Accreditation not needed for 2nd year drug store trainees and/or certified drug store interns.
